Mystery of a Piece of Land Once Known as Sycamore Row

Did you know John Grisham's A Time to Kill is one of the most popular novels of our time. Now we return to that famous courthouse in Clanton as Jake Brigance once again finds himself embroiled in a fiercely controversial trial-a trial that will expose old racial tensions and force Ford County to confront its tortured history.

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier.

The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly? And what does it all have to do with a piece of land once known as Sycamore Row?

In Sycamore Row, John Grisham returns to the setting and the compelling characters that first established him as America's favorite storyteller. Here, in his most assured and thrilling novel yet, is a powerful testament to the fact that Grisham remains the master of the legal thriller, nearly twenty-five years after the publication of A Time to Kill.

Review:
John Grisham is back and even better then ever.  It is now more then three years since the Hailey trail and Carla, Hanna and Jake are living in a rented house since their house was burned down after the trial. Money is not exactly flowing in and suddenly a letter and a will arrive and things get interesting.

Seth Hubbard was diagnosed with lung cancer about a year ago and recently the doctor informed him he had less then a month to live and so he takes his life. Jake gets a letter with instructions along with a will written by Mr. Hubbard with instructions to carry out his wishes.

Now everyone will start asking whether it's fair that the black maid gets all that money, and was the new will really Seth's will or maybe been written under coercion. But Jack won't be discouraged, he'll go into legal battle to prove that it's not important whether someone is black or white, but that the last will of man must be respected...

When download or buy Sycamore Row kindle ebook, will brings us three years ahead in time. Jake Brigance won the Hailey trial, but life has yet to return to normal.

John Grisham knows how to get the best from any judicial process and make an exciting story out of it. This time he won't disappoint his loyal fans with his just published novel, although it's not as violent as some previous ones, especially comparing to "A Time to Kill" on whose action he continues this exciting story.

Its plot is as usually full of suspense, with a few inevitable turns which will keep the reader constantly in anticipation how the story will unfold, and is there is a different version of events than what we thought at the novel's beginning. John Grisham is a true thriller master of events that are happing both in his courtrooms and outside of them, creating dramatic cases full of twists and interesting plot.
